ARTtitude is proud to present: Poster Spy’s Alternative Movie Poster Collection.Poster Spy, a website launched in 2014, is a community showcase website for alternative poster artists, this book focuses on Movie Posters. Poster Spy’s Alternative Movie Poster Collection features the work of 58 incredible artists from countries all over the world.
All artists featured in this collection are members of the Poster Spy art community.
This book serves as a tribute to what was once a dying form of art. Artists like Drew Struzan, Richard Amsel and Bob Peak among others paved the way for illustrated design but sadly this isn’t seen anymore in commercial marketing.
More recently, artists have taken it upon themselves to create their own movie posters.
We invite you to uncover the world of the alternative poster movement and enjoy over 200 pages of incredible artwork for various different films across the history of cinema.

After the tribute to the movie The Babadook, I realized for BadTaste.it an artwork of the Marvel movie Ant-Man, 2015, Peyton Reed.

Dopo il tributo al film The Babadook, ho realizzato per la rubrica Bad Tribute di BadTaste.it questo omaggio al film Marvel Ant-Man, 2015, di Peyton Reedt.

- Analizzando i poster cinematografici contemporanei ci si accorge che, nella maggior parte dei casi, ci si imbatte in composizioni grafiche ripetitive, modelli ben collaudati purtroppo ben poco fantasiosi e originali. Nel creare il poster per Ant-Man volevo evitare di cadere nel monotono cliché dell’ eroe di turno in posa epica, circondato da panorami apocalittici e ambientazioni catastrofiche. Per un eroe “particolare” ci voleva un poster particolare, ed ho quindi deciso di realizzare un’ illustrazione semplice e poco “eroica”, i cui soggetti sono rappresentati zoomorficamente.

Ant-Man diviene quindi una formica rossa, mentre Yellowjacket un calabrone. L’ ambientazione è la più ovvia per una formica, ma assolutamente non la più banale, ho infatti cercato di giocare con il concetto del “grande-piccolo”, ed è così possibile scorgere nell’ insieme dei piccoli canali del formicaio qualcosa di più grande.

La tavola originale ha dimensioni 48×21.5 cm, è realizzata con pennini a inchiostro con tecniche di tratteggio e puntinismo per poi essere colorata in digitale. -

My entry for the contest Amarena Fabbri - “Un Vaso per 100 Anni”. The task was to create an original skin for the celebrative pot of the product.

The original artwork is the red one, watercolor pencils and ink on paper.

La mia proposta grafica per il contest Amarena Fabbri - “Un Vaso per 100 Anni”. La richiesta era di creare una skin originale per il vaso celebrativo del prodotto.

La tavola originale è la versione in rosso, matite acquerellabili e inchiostro su carta.

Festival dei Giochi e delle Tradizioni 2015

 Poster Illustration* for "Festival dei Giochi e delle Tradizioni 2015 - XI Edizione" (Festival of Games and Traditions), Ceglie Messapica, Italy.
 This year they wanted to use an illustration I did for a concept poster from last year's edition. I had just to add some quick shadows, in order to "complete" what to me was just a draft.
 It's strange and beautiful to see my work becoming a simbol of Happyness! It's all around the city on posters, depliants, and even on the Volunteers' t-shirts!

 Illustrazione di locandina* per il Festival dei Giochi e delle Tradizioni 2015 - XI Edizione, Ceglie Messapica.
 Quest' anno si è scelto di utilizzare un' illustrazione da me realizzata per un concept poster della scorsa edizione. Ho solo dovuto aggiungere qualche ombra veloce in modo da "completare" quella che per me era solo una bozza.
 È strano e bello vedere il mio lavoro diventare un simbolo di Felicità, sparso per tutta la città su poster, depliant e persino sulle magliette dei Volontari!

Illustrazioni per lo spettacolo Musicale "Il Curioso Viaggio di Vito Pillà", del 2010..
 " Vito Pillà è un giovane ritardato che per la prima volta nella sua vita affronta un breve 
viaggio in treno. Lo scopo è quello di andare a comprare un fumetto, “L’eroe”, il cui numero 83 non è mai arrivato all’edicola del suo paese. Ma inaspettatamente il breve viaggio si trasformerà in un’insolita avventura fantastica. Attraverso il racconto di quel giornaletto, Vito conoscerà la lunga Odissea di Ulisse, l’antico e temerario eroe che, durante l’interminabile viaggio di ritorno verso la sua Itaca, sarà fatto prigioniero del gigante Polifemo nell' isola dei ciclopi, ascolterà e verrà tentato dall' ammaliante ed ingannatorio canto delle sirene, riceverà l’aiuto del buon dio Eolo.. "

A me la realizzazione de L' Eroe - n. 83, come oggetto di scena cartaceo  e scenografia. Ogni pagina del "fumetto" fa da fondale ad un brano musicale.
La versione finale ha particolari in rosso..
